How my family photography process works

Planning a family photo shoot can feel daunting, but that’s why I’m here to simplify the process, from start to finish. Think of me as your personal guide to a stress-free day.

The process:

1. Pick a date

Contact me to choose a date and secure it with a $150 deposit (which applies toward your session fee). After that, I’ll send over wardrobe and general tips to help you get ready.

2. Let loose

On the day of your photoshoot, your only job is to arrive ready for a great time. I’ll come prepared with a mix of poses, prompts, and games specific to your family group to encourage natural laughter and interactions. Family photography should be a playful, relaxed experience!

3. Relive the magic

Get a high-resolution gallery of individually edited photos delivered straight to your inbox. The files are yours to download, print and share.

Whether we’re photographing your session in Golden, Boulder, Denver, or anywhere along Colorado’s Front Range, my goal is to create an experience that feels comfortable from beginning to end.

You won’t spend your session standing in awkward poses wondering where to put your hands. Instead, we’ll focus on:

I photograph families throughout Denver, Golden, Boulder, Arvada, Lakewood, and surrounding Front Range communities, offering relaxed outdoor family photography sessions that take advantage of our beautiful Colorado scenery.
That’s completely normal. Sessions are designed to feel playful and low-pressure, giving kids space to move naturally so we can capture real expressions instead of forcing stiff poses.
Most sessions take place outdoors at carefully selected locations throughout the Denver metro area, from mountain foothills near Golden to open parks around Boulder and scenic spots throughout the Front Range.
Most families book several weeks ahead, especially during busy fall months when outdoor family photography sessions fill quickly across Denver and surrounding Colorado locations.
